John May, SRA

Credentials

John May has completed the appraisal and review of single family property, 2-4 family units, manufactured homes, farms, condominiums, and vacant land for clients including FHA/HUD, the FDIC, the Veteran’s Administration, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Jefferson Circuit Court, Fortune 500 companies, relocation firms, nation-wide lenders, nation-wide insurers, attorneys, estates and trusts, local and national boards of directors, national banks and credit unions.

Mr. May is a Realtor member of the Greater Louisville Association of Realtors, specializing in residential real estate transactions and the leasing of single family residential units. Responsible for single family rental leases and tenant relations, John provides professional valuation consulting services for John May and Associates, Inc, and holds the prestigious SRA designation from the Appraisal Institute.

John has been a lecturer and guest speaker at various events sponsored by the Greater Louisville Association of Realtors, including topics on market value, market direction, health of the local market, effective use of market data, and professionalism in valuation analysis.

John served as the Property Valuation Administrator for Jefferson County, Kentucky (2005-2006), was elected the President of the Greater Louisville Association of Realtors and selected as their Realtor of the Year, and was elected to serve as the President of the Kentucky Association of Realtors (2013). John served as an appraisal member of the Jefferson County Board of Tax Appeals and has prepared cases brought before for the Kentucky Board of Tax Appeals.
